This first covered market hall in the Netherlands contains about 100 fresh food stands, nearly 15 food shops and various restaurants. The roof of the Markthal is shaped by an arch of 228 apartments. The inside of the archway bears the biggest artwork in the Netherlands, The Horn of Plenty by Arno Coenen and Iris Roskam.

De Hefbrug, or Koningshavenbrug, was formerly employed as a railway bridge. The bridge connected the Noordereiland with the south of Rotterdam. The train now goes underground through a tunnel.
De Rotterdam is the largest multipurpose building in the Netherlands (160,000m2), designed by OMA. In front you'll see the Noordereiland.
