There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, as 24-year-old psychology student from Erasmus University, Ebenezer Tafese proves. He transforms iconic buildings in Rotterdam into impressive visual artworks!

On his Instagram page, Ebenezer shares photos of buildings from Rotterdam that fascinate him. Photographed at night, he adds a digital layer to the images. With animation and music he places the city in a completely different perspective. In this way, he turns dark buildings into audiovisual delights! He produced a special video for Rotterdam Make It Happen.

Ebenezer associated the futuristic buildings in the city with the movie TRON Legacy. He’s inspired by the grid and lines from in the movie and uses them to accentuate the architecture in Rotterdam. He doesn’t have to think long about which building he wants to transform. “They suddenly appear. I often drive by and then suddenly it ‘clicks’.” When this happens, he immediately starts editing. “It’s a real desire to visualize everything that comes to my mind.”

Take a quick look at the video and enjoy his creative tribute to the city!
