\nStichting Rotterdam Partners (hereinafter referred to as Rotterdam Partners) is Rotterdam’s partner organisation that gives direction and implementation to the city’s city marketing in order to attract international companies, conferences and visitors. Together with our partners, we are building a future-proof and resilient Rotterdam economy. In this context, we organize, support and coordinate various activities and campaigns.<\/p>\n

To this end, Rotterdam Partners collects personal data via its website(s), newsletters and other products and services. Personal data is data that tells us something about you or that we can link to you. You can think of your name or your e-mail address, but the IP address of your computer can also be seen as personal data. This concerns all information that can be traced back to you as a person, either directly or in combination with other data.<\/p>\n

In this privacy statement, we explain how we handle your personal data. In addition, you will find more information about your rights and how you can exercise them. More specific information about which personal data we process and for what purpose we do this can be found further down in the appendix to this privacy statement.<\/p>\n

We determine the purposes and means for which, and on the basis of, personal data is used in our business activities. We are therefore to be regarded as a controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).<\/p>\n

\nRotterdam Partners, located at: Weena 727 (3013 AM) in Rotterdam, 010-7900140, Chamber of Commerce 24313403, VAT number NL8092.85.691B01, is the responsible party within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).<\/p>\n

Rotterdam Partners also operates under the location names Rotterdam Tourist Information and Rotterdam International Center. Rotterdam Partners is also responsible for this within the meaning of the GDPR.<\/p>\n

Data Protection Officer<\/strong>
\nWe have appointed an internal Data Protection Officer (DPO) who is involved in all matters related to the protection of personal data. Processing of personal data<\/strong>
\nWe process personal data for various reasons. For example, we have a newsletter, we sell the Rotterdam City Card, we receive data from applicants, we receive data from internationals (expats) and we collect data via our website. It depends on the specific data processing which data we process and for what purpose. For an explanation of the individual data processing operations, please refer to the appendix for specific information on the processing of personal data.<\/p>\n

We believe it is important to properly protect the personal data we process. We have therefore taken various organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against misuse, loss, unauthorised access and processing.<\/p>\n

When processing personal data, we adhere to the principles of the GDPR for the processing of personal data. For example, we only process personal data if there is a legal basis for doing so (such as your consent or an agreement). We only process personal data if this is necessary and, above all, we do not process more data than is necessary.<\/p>\n

Sharing of personal data<\/strong>
\nSometimes we will work together with other parties in the execution of our services. In certain cases, we share personal data with these organisations. The moment we exchange personal data with another organisation, we ensure that we make clear agreements with this other party that are in line with the laws and regulations. We not only think it is important that we handle the personal data in the right way, but also require this from other parties with whom we work.<\/p>\n

When we provide personal data to parties outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure that we only do so to parties that adequately guarantee the protection of personal data. We adhere to the conditions laid down in the laws and regulations.<\/p>\n

Exercising your rights<\/strong>
\nOn the basis of the laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal data, you have been granted a number of rights. For example, you have the right to view the personal data that we process about you. In addition, you can submit a request to amend, delete or restrict the use of your personal data by us.<\/p>\n

When we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you also have the right to withdraw your consent. In that case, we will have to stop processing your personal data. It is also possible to object to the processing of your personal data.<\/p>\n

You can request to exercise any of your rights by sending an email to our Data Protection Officer,\u00a0privacy@rotterdampartners.nl<\/a>. After receiving your e-mail, we will send you a confirmation of receipt in which we will let you know, among other things, when we will inform you of the action that will be taken on your request. Data breach<\/strong>
\nWe think it is very important that your personal data is safe with us. If it does happen that you have found a weak spot in our security or a data breach, we would love to hear about it. We ask you to send an e-mail to\u00a0privacy@rotterdampartners.nl<\/a>. You will then receive a form from us. We ask you to return this form to us within 24 hours so that we can initiate our data breach procedure in a timely manner and comply with our obligation to report data breaches.<\/p>\n
