Springtail (BlueCity)

BlueCity is a model city for the circular and blue economy and home to 55 entrepreneurs and a meeting place for pioneers and enterprising minds, where they develop a framework for action, whether to grow their impact, live a zero waste life, or develop a future-proof material. It is located in a former tropical swimming paradise on the river Maas in Rotterdam. One of the innovative start-up entrepreneurs at BlueCity is Springtail. Springtail helps entrepreneurs realize their sustainability ambitions by purchasing special crops that contribute to the recovery of soil and nature. Springtail works with farmers and entrepreneurs on the transition to a regenerative food system and helps farmers to diversify by stimulating the sales market for soil-regenerating crops. Annigje Jacobs and Sherif Soubra are the co-founders of Springtail.
