At the Erasmus Education Lab, lecturers, students and staff of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) work together on future-proof education.
The Erasmus Education Lab is located at the centre of the Woudestein campus, the main hub of Erasmus University Rotterdam. The Education Lab is the place to collaborate on innovating and improving education. Regular sessions and events focused on educational innovation are organised here, as well as training courses for teachers. The lab serves as a meeting place for teachers, staff and students of EUR who work on this theme.
Recording studio
The lab is also home to the Erasmus Studio, a state-of-the-art recording studio where teachers can create videos for use in their teaching. These videos can be used to help students prepare for classes or to explain complex concepts in more detail. The studio is also used to record videos for EUR MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), which are accessible to participants worldwide. The studio is also regularly used for live broadcasts, such as talk shows and webinars.
Community for Learning & Innovation
Within the university, the Community for Learning & Innovation (CLI) is committed to improving and innovating academic education so that it remains leading and inspiring. The CLI does this by investing in teacher training opportunities, supporting innovative projects, and facilitating research on innovation. The Education Lab is the central location where all these activities are organised, making it the beating heart of educational innovation at Erasmus University Rotterdam!
