Erasmusbrug LIVE.
The 800-meter-long Erasmus Bridge connects the northern and southern parts of Rotterdam. The suspension bridge over the Maas River has a 139-meter-high steel pylon, which is mounted with 40 cables. Due to the shape of the pylon, the bridge earned the nickname The Swan. The Erasmus Bridge is the iconic symbol of the city of Rotterdam. De Blaak is a major street in the center of Rotterdam. The street is barely half a kilometer long, but several tens of meters wide. The Laurens Quarter is the part of the city center surrounding the Laurenskerk and is actually the oldest part of the city. The dam in the Rotte, which gave rise to Rotterdam, was once located near the Hoogstraat on the Binnenrotte. The fun thing about this part of the city is that you have several icons in view, such as the Markthal, Cube Houses, Library, the market, Rif010, and even a glimpse of the Willems Bridge. Hofplein Live.
Hofplein will undergo major renovations starting in spring 2025. Over the coming years, the busy traffic square will be transformed into a green, car-reduced city square with more space for pedestrians and cyclists. The work will continue until the end of 2027. Het Park is one of the most well-known parks in Rotterdam. Without an official name, it is often referred to as “Het Park by the Euromast” or simply “Het Park.” It is located between the Westzeedijk and the waters of the Nieuwe Maas.
