Close up of Moments Contained, an almost 4 meter high bronze sculpture of a young, fictional, colored woman in sneakers, hands clenched in the pockets of her tracksuit. With an appearance of resilience, self-confidence and vulnerability. The statue is located on Stationsplein, directly in front of Central Station. The woman does not stand on a pedestal, but with both feet on the ground. The sculpture was made by the English artist Thomas J Price and was donated to the city of Rotterdam by the Droom en Daad Foundation. It is part of the International Sculpture Collection of Rotterdam. The statue was unveiled early June 2023. In the photo we also see part of the Delftse Poort building.
