SAWA is the first timber residential building over 50 meters tall in Rotterdam. The building consists of 109 homes, with a mix of owner-occupied and mid-market rental units, and is designed to promote sustainability and social inclusivity. SAWA is fully gas-free, all-electric, and energy-neutral, and features green terraces and shared spaces that contribute to biodiversity and quality of life in the city. The project represents an important step toward Rotterdam’s sustainability ambitions and aims to contribute to CO₂ reduction.
