One day, Richard Hardiman, an entrepreneur from South Africa, saw a group of boys fishing plastic out of water using a net. A great idea, he thought, but he was sure there was a faster and more efficient way to do it. It prompted him to develop a drone that picks up plastic waste from the water: the Waste Shark. Hardiman took his idea to RDM, and it did not take long for the first prototypes to materialise. Watch this video to see the Waste Shark in action...
